New Staff in Student Development Are Ready to Welcome Students
Montgomery, AL – The Student Development Office at Huntingdon College encompasses the student life experience beyond academics, teams, and cohorts. The staff works tirelessly each year to provide a Huntingdon experience with opportunities for growth, support, leadership, and connections through residence life, student activities, Greek life, campus recreation, community service, campus ministries, and counseling services.
This summer, the office added new staff to the team that are eager to start the year with the student body:
Ms. Malori Butler is the Director of Student Engagement and Residence Life. Malori comes to the Student Development Office after serving as a Huntingdon Admissions Counselor. She oversees Greek life organizations and residence life including the professional and student housing staff members.
Mr. Michael Storie, the current Sports Information Director for the Huntingdon Hawks, has taken on an additional role in Student Development as the Coordinator of New Student Orientation. Michael’s experience as a student and staff member involved with Huntingdon Orientation is his drive to see new Hawks get the best official “welcome home” to Huntingdon possible.
Ms. Molly Willis is the Student Development Coordinator. While Molly is new to Huntingdon, she has personal experience with involvement and leadership in campus life as a student-athlete and she is excited to bring her insight to campus. Molly works with the Huntingdon College Student Government Association, Kingswood Campus Activities Board, and student-led organizations.
“It is a pleasure to welcome these new staff members to the Student Development team,” commented Dean Kathleen Childree. “Their fresh perspectives have brought a renewed sense of energy to the office. They are eager to amplify the voices of our student body and support them in making their individual student experiences meaningful. I’m confident we’re going to accomplish great things through our shared dedication to a student-centered approach in the year ahead.”
