President Leigh Announces Promotion of Vice Presidents

Montgomery, AL – President Anthony Leigh announced on Monday, July 6 the promotion of two members of the Huntingdon community to Vice Presidents.

Cathy Wolfe will serve as Vice President for Development Operations and Stewardship. President Leigh shared, “Cathy has been an extraordinary servant-leader for Huntingdon College since 2001, bringing exceptional competence, integrity, and institutional knowledge to every aspect of our development operations. Her careful stewardship of donor relationships, gift processing, endowed scholarships, reporting, and advancement systems has strengthened the College in ways that are both highly visible and quietly essential. Elevating Cathy to Vice President for Development Operations and Stewardship recognizes the leadership she has already been providing and the trust she has earned across campus and among our students, alumni and donors. I am grateful for her devotion to Huntingdon and excited for the continued impact she will have in this expanded role.”

Laura Brelsford is being promoted to serve as Vice President for Strategic Communications and Alumni Engagement. Laura is a 2005 Huntingdon graduate and she joined the college staff in 2016.  The President commented, “She has done outstanding work helping Huntingdon tell its story with clarity, creativity, and heart. Her leadership in public relations, alumni engagement, institutional storytelling, social media, and College events has strengthened the way our students, alumni, families, and friends experience and understand Huntingdon. This promotion recognizes both the excellence of her work and the increasingly strategic importance of communications and alumni relationships in the life of the College. I am grateful for Laura’s loyalty and deep love for Huntingdon, and I am excited for the leadership she will continue to provide in this elevated role.”
