President Leigh Elected to Several Higher Education Leadership Roles
Montgomery, AL – In his first year as President of Huntingdon College, Dr. Anthony Leigh was recognized by his peers for his leadership in private higher education and elected or appointed to serve in several regional and national roles.
On July 1, Dr. Leigh became the Vice-Chairman of the Collegiate Conference of the South, Huntingdon’s primary athletic conference. In June, he was elected to a three-year term as a member of the Board of Directors for the North American Association of Methodist Schools Colleges and Universities. He has also been appointed to the Policy Committee for Accountability for the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities.
“Having a seat at these tables gives me a great position to advance Huntingdon and to look out for the best interests of the College and our students,” noted President Leigh. “Whether it is navigating the changing landscape of NCAA intercollegiate athletics, advancing Huntingdon’s faith-based ethos, or advocating for additional support for and accountability in federal student aid programs, each of these opportunities are important to Huntingdon.”
