President Leigh Opens School Year with Convocation

Montgomery, AL – On Friday, August 14, President Anthony Leigh officially opened the academic year with the annual Presidential Convocation. His address, titled “A Roadmap for Life at a Pre-professional College,” was shared in Ligon Chapel to the Huntingdon College students, faculty, staff, and trustees.

President Leigh was joined on stage by Dr. Stephanie L. Kirschmann, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty; Rev. Rhett Butler ‘13, Dean of the Chapel; Professor Eric Kidwell, faculty marshal; Piper Messick ’27, SGA President; Emma Thomas ’27, who led the singing of the Huntingdon alma mater; and student marshals, Alexa Martinez ’27, Donovan Wilson ’27, and Sam Kelley ’27.
