Biography

Dr. Kathleen Penney Childree, a native of Madison, Alabama, began her career at Huntingdon College in the business office as an accounting assistant following her graduation. She has since served the College as executive assistant to the Provost and Dean of the College, Director of Student Activities, and Director of External Relations. She was named Assistant Dean of Students for Residential Communities & Community Standards in 2023. In addition, she is a Title IX Investigator for the College. She has a passion for enhancing the student experience and providing leadership development opportunities. 

Dr. Childree is active in the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) where she serves on the state of Alabama’s Board of Directors as the State Director-Elect. She also serves her community through her involvement with the Junior League of Montgomery (JLM) where she serves on the Board of Directors and Mayor’s Young Professional Council (MYPC) policy committee.
