Bothwell, Derick

Dr. Derick Bothwell, Huntingdon College Class of 2015, returned to his alma mater as an athletic trainer in the spring of 2021 and is a member of the College’s new Master of Athletic Training program. After graduating in 2015 he earned athletic training licensure in 2016, completed his doctorate in physical therapy at Alabama State University in 2020, and received his Ph.D. in Healthcare Education in December of 2024. He served as a member of the advisory board that developed Huntingdon’s Master of Athletic Training program. Prior to his return to Huntingdon, Dr. Bothwell served as a staff physical therapist and athletic trainer for Rehab Associates in Montgomery.
