Pouncey, Kasey

Kasey Pouncey joined the Huntingdon College staff in 2024 as Director of Recruitment and Retention for the Rural Teacher Education Initiative. In Fall 2026, she joined the faculty as an instructor for College 100, helping incoming first-year students transition successfully to college.

Before coming to Huntingdon, Pouncey spent 17 years as a public school educator in rural Alabama. Her experience spans elementary, middle, and high school education, where she served as a reading teacher, special education teacher, and business and digital technology instructor. Her passion for rural education and teacher preparation continues to guide her work in developing future educators who are committed to making a lasting impact in their home communities.
