Register for Auxiliary Day, April 18, 2026

Huntingdon Auxiliary day is for any Dance line, Majorette, and Color guard members who wish to participate and learn new skills. The camp will focus on individual and group techniques. A performance will take place at the end of the day for all parents and friends.

Auxiliary Tryout Requirements 2026-27

**Those who make the team are required for Uniform Fitting April 17th & Auxiliary Day April 18th.

Color Guard

  • Guard. 25 drop spins
  • Speed spins/double time 16 counts, repeat twice
  • Demonstrate two different toss types, repeat twice
  • Figure 8s, 16 counts
  • 90 second routine with music, your choice.
  • Please always start technique at right shoulder

Dance

  • Single turn left and right
  • Double turn left and right
  • Side kicks left and right
  • Front kicks left and right
  • Splits left and right
  • Leaps on your left and right
  • A 1 minute and 15 second dance

Meet The Coaches

Miranda Muir-Peak
Majorettes

Miranda is the owner and director of Top Flight Twirlers, an auxiliary instructor, and choreographer for local programs. She is passionate about building strong fundamentals, confident performers, and positive team culture. She is married and the proud mother of two daughters, and values family, leadership, and character development both on and off the field.

Sarah Solomon
Color Guard

Sarah is a driven Color Guard Instructor with a passion for visual arts. Her experience in Winter Guard International and collegiate marching band, blends a personal background with a desire to connect with students. She enjoys spending time with her family and supporting the interests of her daughters.

Tiffany Chandler
Bands Manager/Recruiter

Tiffany brings over 20 years of experience in managing extra curricular activities from the College level down to our tiny youth. She brings experience in recruiting student athletes along with an extensive background in administration. She has her Master’s in Sports & Fitness Management, Administration from Troy University, 2010. She has previously worked for Huntingdon College in recruitment, academic advising and financial aid. She was Troy University UCA Coach of the year in 2015 for Troy Cheerleading where she led the Trojans to their first UCA top 5 placing in 2014. Her family adventures then moved her to Opelika where she directed the Tumbling, Cheer, and Competitive gymnastics program at Opelika Power Athletics through the City’s Parks & Recreation Program. She then went on to become the Parks & Recreation Director for the City of Wetumpka. Tiffany brings a wealth of knowledge in working with high level extra curricular activities, maintaining and upholding college standards, and helping students navigate practice on top of their class schedules. Tiffany is married to Opelika’s Head Football Coach, Jonathan Chandler, and they have two daughters, Stallings (10) and Spivey (4).

Kayton Geer
Dance

Kayton Geer is in her second year coaching at Huntingdon College as the danceline coach. She has danced competitively for 16 years and was a member of her high school danceline for three years. Kayton has a deep love for dance and is passionate about how it allows performers to step on the field and become a completely different person. She married her husband two years ago, and they are excited to welcome their first baby girl this spring.
