Summer Programs for High School Students

The Huntingdon Leadership Academy

This annual program, begun in 2015, is open to high school sophomores and juniors who are members of United Methodist churches and who are discerning calls to ministry. HLA is a five-day experience.

The Huntingdon Economic and Community Development Scholars Program

Chambers of Commerce across Alabama may nominate up to four students to attend this 3-day/2-night summer program. Students learn about careers in economic and community development and about the importance of this work to better our communities.

The Huntingdon Heath Sciences Academy

Introduced in 2017, this special 3-day/2-night program serves rising River Region high school seniors who are interested in careers in the health sciences. Attendees must have achieved minimum cumulative GPAs of at least 3.4.
